Second-hand house relocations
Second-hand house relocation plans.
Relocating an existing house to a new section? ArchX prepares architectural plans and building-consent documentation for the house in its new location, with consultant coordination as agreed in your proposal.
What the work involves
The house and the site
We look at how the existing second-hand house suits its new site — size, orientation, levels, access and outlook — and any alterations the house needs.
Siting
Positioning the house on the land with regard to sun, access, services and boundaries.
Existing and proposed drawings
Documentation of the house as it is and as it will sit on its new site, including any proposed changes.
Coordinated inputs
Engineering, foundation, drainage and consent coordination as agreed in the proposal, so the drawings and specialist inputs develop together.
Physical transport and building work are carried out by others and are separate from the ArchX design scope.

Questions
Concept plans or consent drawings?
Concept plans test layout, form and fit on the site so you can make decisions before committing to detail. They are not building-consent documentation.
Consent documentation is the detailed set of drawings and specifications prepared for your building-consent application, usually alongside inputs such as a survey, geotechnical or structural engineering, which are engaged and charged separately where needed. Council fees are also separate.
